<[link removed]>Friend – I want to show you what we just had to go through to get on the ballot in Indiana. 👇 <[link removed]>
<[link removed]>Trust me, it’s even crazier than it looks.
First it was days of organizing forms by county and checking each page for errors.
Then, yesterday morning, our team submitted around 55,000 signatures to get Jill on the ballot. To turn everything in by the Noon deadline, we needed 15 drivers, each doing routes of 4+ stops. All of it was coordinated to deliver the first batch as soon as offices opened at 8am to make the rest of the deliveries in time.
But we did it.
The next step is to pick them up again before July 15th and hope that we have enough valid signatures accepted (37,000) to turn in to the Secretary of State in Indianapolis.
We can expect that the Democratic Party of Indiana will instantly file a lawsuit challenging the validity of our signatures and our inclusion on the ballot. That’s what they’ve done in Nevada and Illinois.
They’ll do it in every state – even in red states like Indiana where they know they will not win – because the purpose is to drain our funds and push us to give up.
And that’s where you come in.
If you’ve been tracking our ballot access progress the last few months, you may have noticed Oklahoma sticks out from the sea of green:
<[link removed]>We have less than two weeks to pay a $35,000 ballot access fee to get on the ballot in Oklahoma. <[link removed]>
<[link removed]>Get Jill on the OK Ballot <[link removed]>I know that number looks ridiculous. Frankly, it IS ridiculous.
But if we’re doing simple math here, $35K is only a fraction of what we’ve had to spend on professional canvassing services to get the necessary signatures for some states.
I’d rather we put that money into paying more ground staff and giving working class folks a chance to shape their future with a candidate who will fight for them.
But this is where we are. And the people of Oklahoma deserve to have a pro-planet, pro-worker, pro-peace, anti-genocide candidate to vote for.
I need your help to raise the funds for this fee so we can get Jill on the ballot in Oklahoma. Whether you give $5, $50, or $500, it all adds up to a movement they can’t ignore. <[link removed]>
There is nothing democratic about this ballot access process. Like everything about our political system, it’s designed to guarantee that the people with the most money can always buy their way past the finish line.
I’m incredibly proud of this team – especially our supervolunteers in Indiana who pulled off the impossible this week.
Their hard work and your support for this campaign has brought us this far. We will keep going all the way to the White House and fight for the future we deserve.
In solidarity,
Jason Call
