The Bible encourages us to “confess [our] sins to each other and pray for each other so that [we] may be healed” (James 5:16, NLT).

Because of your compassion for post-abortive moms and dads, the Abortion Memorial website was established to do just that. It’s a place for quiet confession and sharing one’s deepest feelings after an abortion. It’s also a place to move healing forward in their lives. Some are posted within days, while others come years after their abortion.

One mom shared:

“My sweet baby. It breaks my heart. You will be having your first birthday this week. Mommy loves you and is so very sorry. Every day I wish I was stronger in my decisions. I’m so sorry.”

Over the years, the response to our abortion experience has been so incredible that we believed God was telling us to share our complete story in a book. And that’s why we wrote Beauty from Ashes.

Writing this book was the most difficult thing we’ve done in our lives. Digging up all those terrible memories and writing them down for the world to see was almost too much. But we truly believe Beauty from Ashes will help others reconcile with God, heal, and enjoy freedom from abortion — like we have.

I’m also excited to announce that Beauty from Ashes is being launched soon, and the book will be available for purchase on July 10. Please know that all the proceeds go directly into the work of Human Coalition.
