Rudy Giuliani loses law license

• Rudy Giuliani has been disbarred in New York for repeatedly lying about widespread voter fraud in his efforts to help Trump overturn the 2020 election — the most severe professional punishment to date for the man once known as “America’s mayor.”

New York’s line-warming ban case has come to a close

• The deadline passed for New York election officials to appeal a federal court ruling striking down the state’s line-warming ban, which prevented volunteers from giving food and water to voters in line at polling places. The pro-voting decision will remain in place.

The latest on redistricting in Ohio

• In a loss for voters, a federal three-judge panel dismissed a class action lawsuit alleging that Ohio’s congressional districts violate the U.S. Constitution and Voting Rights Act by discriminating against Black voters. The map will remain in place.

  
  

• Citizens Not Politicians, the group behind a ballot measure to create an independent redistricting commission and end gerrymandering in Ohio, submitted over 700,000 signatures to the secretary of state for review. Only around 400,000 signatures were required.
