Dear Friend!

At Ohio Citizen Action, we believe in the power of people to create lasting change. As we face critical challenges in our state, from redistricting to protecting democracy, your involvement is more important than ever.

Today, we are excited to introduce you to the incredible new staff members who have joined our team, bringing fresh energy, diverse experiences, and unwavering dedication to our mission.

Meet the team that will help drive our grassroots engine:

Scott Palider, Chief Political Officer

A native of Northeast Ohio, Scott's political career began with the Obama for America campaign in 2012. His experience spans from local mayoral races in San Francisco to advocacy efforts with The American Legion Department of Ohio. Scott's victories in preventing nursing home abuse and securing public school funding through Ohio's Fair School Funding plan demonstrate his commitment to justice and community service.

Ashlee Boatman, Toledo Canvass Director

Ashlee's four years of organizing experience with the Michigan Education Justice Coalition and Defense of Democracy prepared her to advocate for mental health resources, clean air filtration in schools, the rights of LGBTQ+ students, and more. Her dedication to public education and safeguarding the rights of all students makes her a powerful force for change.

Sabrina Jordan, Dayton Canvass Director

Born and raised in Dayton, Ohio, Sabrina has dedicated her life to community service and advocacy. After a tragic loss, she founded Breaking the Cycle (BTC) and Ohio Families Unite Against Police Brutality (OFUAPB), organizations committed to supporting low-income neighborhoods and ending police brutality. Sabrina's strength, resilience, and passion for justice make her an invaluable addition to our team.

Taylor Prise, Cincinnati Canvass Director

With over eight years experience in social justice, Taylor transitioned from art therapy and community mental health to voter engagement and political activism. Her commitment to reproductive freedom, gender, and racial justice, and empowering communities is inspiring. Taylor's enthusiasm for mentoring new organizers and championing the rights of working-class Ohioans is perfect for her role in guiding our field canvassers.

This is people power in action!

Your involvement can make a real difference in our efforts to build a stronger, more equitable Ohio. By supporting Ohio Citizen Action, you are helping to ensure that every Ohioan can vote in their own best interests and that our democracy remains strong. Together, we can advance the public interest in ways that pay off in everyday life.

We invite you to join us in welcoming Sabrina, Taylor, Ashlee, and Scott to the Ohio Citizen Action team by making a contribution today.

Your support is crucial as we ramp up our electoral organizing and voter registration efforts.

Every contribution, no matter the size, helps keep our grassroots engine running.

Thank you for believing in the power of people and for standing with us in this important work.

Melissa English, Chief Development Officer

P.S. We're hiring canvassers! Do you know anyone who wants to make a difference while making a living? Please tell them to apply.
