Starting July 1st, part of the Democrat's nearly 10 billion in new taxes and fees when into effect with a new consumer delivery fee. Enacted in 2023, the new delivery tax applies to most purchases over $100, encompassing essentials such as diapers, clothing, pet, office supplies, and other household items. This tax is expected to generate $189 million in revenue and represents one of several new or increased taxes and fees introduced this biennium, coinciding with the spending through the entirety of a record-breaking surplus.
