Friend,
This week, the Supreme Court issued a ruling [[link removed]] on the Presidential Immunity case. The majority opinion held that the President is immune from suit with respect to his official duties - those reserved for the President - but is not immune from criminal prosecution when it comes to his private acts.
That led one of my opponents - Will Scharf, President Trump's attorney - to claim that the President is now entirely immune from prosecution for allegedly scheming to rig the 2020 election.

Asking state election officials to find more votes or assembling "alternative" slates of electors are not duties entrusted to the President. These are private acts, and even Justice Barrett agreed.
What makes even less sense is that if Scharf somehow prevailed in his argument, then President Biden would be able to assemble his own "alternative slate of electors" in the event he loses and install himself as President.
We cannot afford to give more power to folks who want our President to be King if We the People are going to have any power of our own.
The Court's ruling sends this case back to the trial court to sort out which acts are private and which are not.
In the meantime, we're working our tails off to get us an Attorney General who will always stand up for the People.

Thank you for the support!
We're still tallying up everything, but we hit our quarter goals!
We got to 4,000+ donations, 2,500+ volunteers, and I traveled over 10,000 miles this past quarter alone. We raised enough to keep up our organizing efforts across the state. Thank you so much for making that happen!
I also want to say thanks to everyone who encouraged me to get checked out by a doctor (although some of you out there thought whiskey was all I needed to clear my cough). Apparently, I've had walking pneumonia for a while, which means I was still able to do pretty well in a candidate debate even with pneumonia. Just another indication of how low the bar is, I guess, and how high we are going to raise it when we win!

Just yesterday, Liberty Belle and I got invited to present to a group of Trump supporters in Warsaw. Last week, we were the only Democratic campaign to show up to a debate watch party put on by a conservative talk radio show, and we then had a great conversation with the radio hosts on air the next day. And we've found a lot of support at Farm Bureau events too.
Folks from all parties are responding. Our whole race is now getting the word out to every voter we can. Missouri is tired of the waste. It's time to get Missouri's Attorney General working for Missourians again.
