Did you see the latest from the Supreme Court? They ruled yesterday to give presidents sweeping immunity from prosecution that essentially wipes out any legal checks on their actions.

Justice Sotomayor said it best in her dissent: "In every use of official power, the President is now a king above the law… with fear for our democracy, I dissent." And Donald Trump has already shown that he's chomping at the bit to use this ruling to dismiss the multiple criminal convictions and lawsuits he faces.

It is beyond clear that we must act to safeguard our democracy and restore the legitimacy of our courts. Will you join us in calling for court reform?

WE NEED COURT REFORM

This is just the latest egregious attack on our democracy and fundamental freedoms from this court—the same court that ruled two years ago to overturn Roe v. Wade. Stacking federal courts, including the Supreme Court, with extremist judges is part of a decades-long strategy from the GOP to rig the game and win at all costs.

How do we fix it? By:

• Expanding the Supreme Court
• Conducting investigations into justices for alleged ethics violations, corruption, and other misconduct
• Urging justices with ethics violations to resign or else be impeached
• Pushing Congress to pass comprehensive court reform, including a binding code of ethics for the justices
• Appointing more fair-minded judges to the courts to rebalance the scales
• Implementing term limits for Supreme Court justices

But we'll be honest—it's going to take a lot of work and the strength of this movement to restore trust in the courts. That's why we're asking you to add your name to our petition calling for court reform.
