John, we've
had a few questions from our supporters about how to vote this week,
so let's answer them all here... |
When do polling
stations open? |
Polling stations are
open from 7am till 10pm. |
And where do I go to
vote? |
You can find your
local polling station on the Electoral
Commission's website. |
Do I need to bring
my polling card with me? |
You do not need to
bring your polling card with you - the only thing needed to vote is
Photo ID. |
What Photo ID can I
bring? |
Among others, you can bring your passport, driver's license, blue
badge or older person's bus pass.
Check
the entire list of acceptable Photo ID here.
|
Oh no...my Photo
ID's out of date! |
Don't worry - so long
as you have a valid form of Photo ID that still looks like you and has
the name you're registered to vote with, you can use it. |
I've got a postal
vote but forgot to post it on time |
Don't worry - you can
take your postal vote to your polling station and hand
it in there, or give it to somebody you trust to do so. |
I applied for a
postal vote but it never arrived!? |
You can request
a replacement postal ballot back in person from your local
council.
This can be requested up until 5pm on polling day but needs to be
retuned by 10pm on polling day.
|
Who do I vote for to
keep the Tories out in my seat? |
Well, just in case
you missed it, we've published all our
tactical voting recommendations here. |
Phew, got it! Right,
just need to make time to vote on polling day now... |
Wait, I've got
another question...! |
No worries - the Electoral
Commission's website has answers to pretty much every question
about voting this week, and they're pretty
responsive on X(Twitter) too! |
