West Sacramento, CA —  Today, Christopher Cabaldon’s campaign for State Senate announced that Senator Bill Dodd (D-Napa) has endorsed Cabaldon’s candidacy for State Senate. Senator Dodd currently represents State Senate District 3.
In announcing his endorsement, Senator Dodd said:
“Christopher Cabaldon is exactly the leader we need in the California Senate. He will bring an unparalleled understanding of our region’s challenges and has already proven he can deliver real results on the most pressing issues including protecting Delta communities, safeguarding our precious water, supporting small farmers and increasing economic opportunity for working families. I know Christopher will continue the progress we have made together and I am proud to support him for the state Senate.” Â
Senator Dodd was elected to the State Senate in 2016, after serving two years in the State Assembly and 14 years on the Napa County Board of Supervisors.
In response to the endorsement, Cabaldon said, “I am deeply honored to have Senator Dodd’s support. Bill is leaving behind a legacy of service to the people of Napa and our region and big shoes to fill in the State Senate. As we move into the final phase of this campaign, his support is a powerful affirmation that underscores the exceptionally broad coalition that continues to propel our campaign forward.”
Since the primary election, Cabaldon’s campaign has announced a series of major endorsements including the California Democratic Party, California Young Democrats, Congressman Mike Thompson, Laborers International Union of North America,  California State Council of Laborers, and unions representing state and local firefighters.
In the weeks and months ahead, the campaign will continue to announce support from additional labor unions, elected officials, business leaders, and grassroots activists as Christopher continues to consolidate support heading into the general election. Â
The election will beheld on November 5, 2024.
