Today is the anniversary of the historic passing of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, fellow activist.
This landmark law outlaws discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, and national origin, including disenfranchising voters at the ballot box, and remains one of the most significant legislative achievements in American history. Without the Civil Rights Act, our work would not be possible. And we cannot take it for granted.
We know voting is crucial in protecting our civil rights. That is why we are committed to actively engaging and mobilizing voters in key counties to ensure that all voters have what they need to make their voices heard and are ready to turn out this November to vote their values.
This November, we must ensure that voters turn out to elect true leadership that will continue to move our nation forward, not backward. In addition to the presidential race, Democrats only need to flip four seats to gain a majority in Pennsylvania, resulting in a trifecta in state government. Will you pitch in $25 right away to help us continue this fight?
