This is 8-year-old Jelena* – a survivor of child trafficking in our care in the Philippines.

Jelena was trafficked from a young age and was brought to Love146 to recover. She recently shared,

“I wish someone would tell children to be careful. I am glad now because I am taken care of by Love146. They look after me like I am their daughter.”

When Jelena first came to our care, she wouldn’t discuss what happened to her, but little by little, she began to open up and process. Jelena enjoys caring for the animals at the Love146 safe home and going to school. She recently won first place in the rope jumping contest!
