But after years of Republican attempts to bankrupt and privatize the U.S. Postal Service, the COVID-19 crisis has hit the USPS especially hard. Unlike other letter and package delivery services, the USPS will deliver mail to anyone in the country at the same rate regardless of whether they live down the road or in a remote small town.
