Team,
At this moment, postal workers are working to ensure that life-saving medications, emergency supplies, Social Security checks, and letters from family will be delivered to mailboxes all over the country.
There are few times in our nation's history where their service has been more vital.
But after years of Republican attempts to bankrupt and privatize the U.S. Postal Service, the COVID-19 crisis has hit the USPS especially hard. And even though the USPS may run out of funds by September, President Trump has threatened to veto any coronavirus relief bill that includes emergency funding for the agency.
In these desperate times, we need the U.S. Postal Service to remain strong. Join Andy and tell President Trump that we demand his support for the USPS. Add your name now: "Don't let the U.S. Postal Service fail!"
Unlike other letter and package delivery services, the USPS will deliver mail to anyone in the country at the same rate regardless of whether they live down the road or in a remote small town. That service is especially important right now, as at-risk people stay home and avoid stores and pharmacies.
Andy and his colleagues have pushed for emergency funding, but President Trump has signaled that he will veto any bill that contains USPS funding. The only way we can change President Trump's mind is to build a groundswell of support for the USPS immediately.
Join Andy in demanding President Trump support emergency funding to keep the U.S. Postal Service open. Add your name now.
Thanks for doing your part,
Team Kim
