Administration Appointments

TOPEKA— *Today, Governor Laura Kelly announced 7 appointments to the following state boards. 

*Washburn University Board of Regents*
Purpose: To manage property, estate, and funds given, transferred, and pledged to the university. 


* Linda Jeffrey, Topeka 

*Kansas Board of Nursing
*Purpose: To protect the public’s health, safety, and welfare through the licensure and regulation process of the nursing professions. 


* Andrea Pettey-Watson, Shawnee (reappointment) 
* Dr. Amy Hite, Pittsburg 

*Wichita State University Board of Trustees
*Purpose: To manage property, estate, and funds given, transferred, and pledged to the university. 


* Junette Everett, Wichita (reappointment) 
* Tracee Adams, Wichita (reappointment) 
* Kevin McWhorter, Wichita (reappointment) 

*Long-Term Care Ombudsman*
Purpose: To advocate for residents of long-term care facilities including nursing homes, assisted living facilities, residential care facilities, and boarding care homes.
