7 -15 Holy Masses imploring Our Lady of Mount Carmel & July
16 Feast Day Holy Mass
Dear Friend,
The most-treasured feast day in
July is Our Lady of Mount Carmel, also known as the Virgin of Carmel.
It is a title given to the Blessed Virgin Mary, for she is the
Patroness of the Carmelite Order. The order began in the 12th century
with Christian hermits living in caves on Mount Carmel in the Holy
Land, where they dedicated their first chapel to the Blessed Virgin
Mary.
Now, Cloistered Carmelite Nuns,
Carmelite Fathers, Brothers and Lay Carmelites around the world will
soon begin a Novena to Our Lady of Mount Carmel before the July
16 Feast Day.
Let us pray for:
The current state of the Catholic Church, where the number of
Catholics has increased but the numbers of priests,
seminarians and women religious have decreased.
World affairs – for a peaceful resolution
for all countries at war.
The conversion of sinners, that we
may not be lukewarm in our prayers, for those hardened in vices, the
suffering souls in purgatory, our own personal intentions, as well as
those of our loved ones.
So, won’t you join me? I ask that
you submit your intentions, which will be included in
nine days of Holy Masses, from July 7 -15 and one Holy Mass on July
16, the feast day, where we
will thank the Virgin of Carmel for favors granted and all the
blessings we have received.
Together, let us spiritually climb
that holy mountain with our prayers and sacrifices, as we prepare for
the glorious Carmelite feast day,
honoring Our Lady of Mount Carmel.
Holy Mary, everlasting strength and
mercy because of thy efficacious intercession, pray for us!
Embracing the love of the Blessed
Virgin Mary,
