For the past week, Donald Trump's tendency to lie, attack the press, peddle conspiracy theories, and attack the norms of our democracy has been on full display.

At the same time, John Katko has doubled down on his support for Trump. He called the Democratic party "way too far to the left" simply because we believe that access to quality, affordable healthcare is a fundamental human right.

John Katko broke his promise from four years ago that Trump would never earn his endorsement. All it took was the White House intervening to protect him from a conservative primary challenge. Now he'll carry water for Trump, no matter what depths he sinks to next.

This shows how remarkably out of touch John Katko is with central and western New York values. Our district needs a leader who will be honest with their constituents and work to ensure that working families have healthcare and economic security.
