Beekeepers, activists and Ekō (formerly SumOfUs) staff protesting at Bayer's annual shareholder meeting in Germany in 2017

John,

For years Bayer has been using dirty tricks to silence its critics, going so far as calling the cops on beekeepers peacefully protesting outside its annual meeting.

A group of activists refuses to let Bayer crush our right to protest. They’ve chased the pesticide giant through the courts and made it all the way to the Supreme Court: they’re one step away from finally defeating Bayer.

But they’re also running out of money fast. To win, they need our help to pay for top-notch lawyers and legal costs.

Can you chip in to help defeat Bayer in court?

Bayer tried everything it could to stop our protests outside its annual shareholder meeting back in 2017. That's when this whole thing started. It even called the police and said the beekeepers posed a terror threat -- total lies of course, all to shut down the protests. But with our help, a coalition of beekeepers and other activists have since been fighting Bayer in court for our right to protest.

They made it all the way to the Supreme Court in Germany, and the court’s decision will be final.

If this goes Bayer's way, it would be able to use the power of the police and courts to stop protests whenever it wants. The same goes for any other corporation in Germany. A dangerous precedent that we simply cannot let happen.

Lawsuits like these are expensive and drag on for years, but together we can win -- and make sure we fight to protect all of the voices speaking out against companies like Bayer that are trying to silence us. The cost of a cup of coffee is all it takes to help power this fight -- can you chip in to help defeat Bayer in court?

Thanks for all that you do,
