** Classroom Impact This Year
------------------------------------------------------------

In the 2023-2024 school year, 85,080 students across the nation participated in Art in Action programs. Notably, 48% of these students attended Title 1 and under-resourced schools. Lessons were led by dedicated docents, classroom teachers, after-school coordinators, and adult volunteers in 2,721 classrooms. We are grateful to all who brought our programs to the children in your communities.

"It was a great way for a non-artistic person to incorporate art into education.
Art education is very important, but I don't know where to start!
Art in Action did that for me."

** Volunteer Superstar: Avery Yang
------------------------------------------------------------

This past Saturday, high school volunteer Avery Yang packed 325 art kits, funded by money she raised herself. The kits include lessons inspired by Frida Kahlo, Nellie Mae Rowe, and Wassily Kandinsky.

Avery plans to distribute these kits this summer to community programs supporting homeless families, including Hamilton Families in San Francisco. Having spent approximately half of the funds raised, Avery is already planning to repeat this generous initiative in the fall.

** Art in Action Around the World!
------------------------------------------------------------

We love seeing our supporters take Art in Action global! Jason, one of our amazing donors, recently visited the Louvre in Paris, France, proudly sporting his Art in Action shirt. It's incredible to see our community's passion for art shine at one of the world's most famous museums. Merci, Jason, for spreading the love of art across the globe!

** Celebrating Our Newest Board Member
------------------------------------------------------------

We are thrilled to introduce our newest board member, Ali Irturk, Vice President of Engineering at Rithum Inc. Ali brings a wealth of experience and a passion for innovation to our team. Residing in Menlo Park, Ali is inspired not only by professional artists but also by his nearly 4-year-old son, Benji. He admires Benji's boundless enthusiasm and fearless creativity, which remind him of the fundamental joy and authenticity that art should bring. Ali's appreciation for pure creative expression reflects his own approach to engineering and leadership. Welcome, Ali!
