Each July 4th, thousands of people, most often children and teens, are injured nationwide while using consumer fireworks.
The Fire Marshal reminds you the use of fireworks in unincorporated Kitsap County is prohibited at all times, except between the hours of 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on July 4. This prohibition has been in place since the late 1990s. Fireworks are not allowed in County parks at any time.
Please be courteous to your neighbors and mindful of the effect that fireworks can have on individuals, pets, and other animals by limiting firework discharge to legally established days and hours. We encourage you to #SaveItForThe4th, use caution, follow fireworks safety practices, and #LeaveItToThePros by attending local events and displays this week.
