The graduates are trickling in nine months after the first ever launch of the Practical Applications of Real Estate Appraisal (PAREA). It took off commanded by the Appraisal Institute (AI). Sticking the landing as the first person to complete PAREA is a stay-at-home dad in San Antonio named Chris Tindal (pictured, left). He spoke with TALCB about his May 13 finish. |
AI launched its Appraisal Qualifications Board-approved certified residential module of its PAREA program. This is in addition to its licensed residential module.
The Appraisal Foundation is calling for comments on whether a college degree should be a requirement for certain license types. The deadline to submit feedback is July 27.

TALCB's next meeting is August 16 in Austin at 9 a.m. CT.
Holiday Closures
TALCB will be closed in observance of Independence Day on Thursday, July 4, and Friday, July 5. Normal business hours resume Monday, July 8.
