Today, the Supreme Court decided Donald Trump is immune from criminal charges for official actions he made while President, but not unofficial acts.

Donald Trump and the extremist right will be emboldened by this ruling. It’s always been important for Democrats to fight to take back the House, but today, that’s become even more urgent.

We have to make sure that we have a Democratic majority in the House that will hold the line for our democracy and the rule of law.

I hold one of the most competitive congressional seats in the country. I’m a veteran, a voting rights attorney, and a father – and I’m committed to keeping this seat from falling into right-wing extremist hands.
