The state health insurance legislation we won in Annapolis goes into effect today! When we organize we win!
HB 1337: The Health Insurance-Grievances and Appeals-Reporting Requirements Act will make health insurance carriers regulated by the Maryland Insurance Administration disclose more data about their enrollment numbers and more information about the thousands of denials they issue yearly. This kind of transparency will give us information we can use to push for strong policies that actually reduce unjustified care and claim denials.
