During CNN’s presidential debate we heard about so many things. We heard about Donald Trump and porn stars. We heard Joe Biden declare that “we finally beat Medicare” whatever that means.

You know what we didn’t hear about? A plan to solve the hunger crisis in America.

Meanwhile 26% of Americans in a recent Gallup survey shared that there were times last year when they didn’t have enough money to buy food for themselves or their family.

1 in 4 Americans.

This is why we needed every ballot-qualified candidate to be on that debate stage. Instead of arguing about golf, we should've seen every candidate discussing how they would keep those who live in the richest nation in the world fed.

As painful as the duopoly debate debacle was to watch, it was a great reminder as to why we must keep fighting to get Jill Stein elected. She is the only candidate with a path to the White House who supports an economic bill of rights.

That means electing a president who believes everyone has the right to a living-wage job, guaranteed livable income, housing, healthcare, childcare, lifelong education, secure retirement, utilities, healthy food and clean water. 

That’s how we end hunger in America.
