A Call to Action from the Colorado Republican Party

 Local Policy Agenda.

The Colorado GOP has made major progress in pushing local policy and laying the groundwork for local communities and boards to protect Coloradoans from the ultra progressive Democrats in the Colorado legislature. Our next policies aim to save Colorado families from Polis and his elected gun grabbers who want to further erode our Second Amendment rights.

Democrats at the Colorado legislature have attempted to disarm more legal gun owners this year with the passage of SB24-131, "Prohibiting Carrying Firearms in Sensitive Spaces..."

This egregious law violates the Constitution by delineating spaces like Town Halls and other government buildings as "sensitive," and thereby banning firearms in those venues.

WHEN IT COMES TO OUR SECOND AMENDMENT RIGHTS, THERE ARE NO SENSITIVE SPACES. If democrats feel sensitive, they should leave those spaces...and go to Cuba. I hear the Cuban government is especially sensitive to guns.

We are not a communist country, and we will not be forced into totalitarian control; this is the United States of America, a nation founded on the Second Amendment. We will not comply with unconstitutional laws that strip us of our ability to protect ourselves and our families. As Douglas County Commissioners recently proclaimed, Douglas County is a Constitutional county, like all counties in the United States. People have a right to defend themselves. Douglas County passed a resolution to opt-out of the disgusting SB24-131, and the opt-out allows residents to carry their firearms into Douglas County buildings.

Councilman Romanello of Monument attended our last Capitol Club to update us on his historic passage of the Sensitive Spaces Opt Out. Monument passed its opt-out resolution on a 5/2 vote to protect 2A rights at Town Hall. Progressives on the once Conservative City Council, Kenneth Kimple & Sana Abbott, voted to strip locals of their God-given rights, acting as their true tyrant selves. We are really starting to make major policy progress at our Capitol Club meetings, so please consider attending in August.

Last week, the Town of Palmer Lake also passed a resolution to stop Polis & his gun-grabbers at the doors of Palmer Lake Town Hall. Mayor Glant Havenar &  the Board of Trustees voted 4/1 to allow law-abiding citizens to protect themselves in their city buildings. The sole dissenting vote, Trustee Nick Ehrhardt, stated on the record he wants to remove guns from people to "protect kids..." the progressive strawman argument that all communists use.

It is truly worth noting how local progressives have wiggled their way onto city councils and county commissions. These people who are hell bent on burning the Constitution are amongst us, and we must fight back! When localities come under Democrat control, there is nothing protecting families from Polis and his gun-grabbers. It is crucial for you to elect conservatives locally in November...just one or two of these local communists on your City Council could mean the loss of your rights.

Palmer Lake's resolution is depicted below.

Chip in to Spread these Policies

Palmer Lake's Sensitive Spaces Opt-Out

The goal here is clear; progressive communists in Colorado want to turn our entire state into a safe space, where guns are prohibited but drag queens are free to get naked next to your children. We heard from several counties and cities at the last Capitol Club, who proudly stood up and told me their localities are working on a similar opt-out to protect their residents, including Weld & El Paso Counties.

Will you stand for Colorado families and tell Polis and his far left legislators, “My city will not prohibit people from protecting themselves?" Ask your city or county to protect families and stand against communism today.

Continue exercising your rights in public spaces; we must never comply with Unconstitutional laws. In fact, it is our duty to not comply with this law or any other law that prohibits us from exercising our God-given 2A rights.

Please reach out to me if you need help passing this important resolution. I will always accept your calls, texts, and I can come to you to help. Thank you for all you do.
