Passing Three Critical Appropriations Bills
Last week, the House passed critical appropriations bills with my support: H.R. 8774, the Department of Defense Appropriations Act of 2025, H.R. 8771, the Department of State, Foreign Operations, and Related Programs Appropriations Act of 2025, and H.R. 8752, the Department of Homeland Security Appropriations Act of 2025.
These important pieces of legislation fund programs and policies that put the American people first and prioritize the core missions of the departments they fund. They provide for our national defense, counter our adversaries, and empower our servicemembers who answer the call to defend our country.
These bills support our allies around the world and prohibit funds for international organizations that seek to undercut the interests of the United States. They also provide critical funding to defend our southern border and prohibit funding for programs and agendas that have led to this immigration crisis.
Our country is facing threats at levels we haven’t seen since World War II, and these three bills meet our nation's needs as they currently stand.
Celebrating Progress on Establishing Georgia's First National Park and Preserve
The recent acquisition of the Branson Tracts in the proposed expanded boundary of the Ocmulgee National Park and Preserve expands hunting and fishing access in the Ocmulgee Corridor and supports our effort to establish Georgia's first National Park and Preserve!
Thank you to the Peyton Anderson Foundation, the Green South Foundation, the Knobloch Family Foundation, the Open Space Institute, and the Ocmulgee National Park and Preserve Initiative for your contributions to this great effort!
