It’s been one of the busiest weeks of the campaign so far. We’ve opened 3 new campaign offices across the district, knocked on 1,071 doors, and made an incredible 2,218 calls to voters this week. We’re putting in the work and laying the foundation to win in November. But tonight, I want to talk about our end-of-quarter reporting deadline. Here’s why it matters:

If you saw my email about 538’s polling average that shows my race — which will be critical to deciding the House majority — is tied between me and Alison Esposito, then you know that the stakes are high.
But there’s more urgent news: House Republicans’ super PAC just booked $2 million in ads that will hit our district this fall. And that’s on top of the $21 million they have already spent targeting me.
Most importantly, Every dollar we raise today can go further — to buy more ad time, hire more field organizers, and reach more Hudson Valley voters, because the prices for TV, training of staff, and more only go up the closer to Election Day it gets.

There’s no other way to say it. Tonight’s deadline is a big deal.
