As Pride Month comes to a close, we at Equality Virginia want you to know that we are so grateful for all the ways our community showed up to support and care for one another! We hope you took time this month to reflect on what Pride means to you. You can visit our Instagram and read how Equality Virginia staff celebrated Pride this year! This year we saw LGBTQ+ Virginians attend Pride festivals, march in parades or at protests, support LGBTQ+ organizations with their time or money, prioritize rest and self-care, offer mutual aid, hold their elected officials accountable, and create art in and with community.
We're grateful for our small business partners who hosted benefits or donated proceeds to fund our critical work not just this month but year round. Thank you! Although the last day of Pride month is coming to a close, you can still make a commitment to moving Virginia forward and supporting our organization's work: |

If you're an educator, activist, clinician, or community leader with insights to share, we invite you to help shape our dynamic programing at our annual Transgender Information Empowerment Summit (TIES) in November. This is your chance to inspire, educate, and connect within our vibrant transgender, nonbinary, and gender expansive communities. Join Us At The 2024 Commonwealth Dinner! Join us on October 5th from 6:00 to 11:00 PM at the historic Main Street Station in Richmond, VA. This event will feature two receptions with open bars, live auction, silent auction, and raffle, bringing together over 800 community members, business leaders, elected officials, and allies to celebrate the progress and resilience of LGBTQ+ Virginians.
