Introduced Legislation to Celebrate American Patriots
The divide in our country is clearer than ever, and there is no better time to rally behind American pride. I introduced a resolution calling on President Biden to designate July as “American Patriotism Month.” This resolution seeks to celebrate patriotic pride and supports efforts to teach and display patriotism by highlighting heroic acts made by brave men and women throughout American history. American Patriotism Month is an opportunity to remind us of the values that make our nation great. Read more on Fox.
Accepted the 2024 Congressional Baseball Trophy on the House Floor
It was an honor to accept this year’s Congressional Baseball trophy on the House floor. I am proud to announce that this year’s game raised 2.2 million dollars for charity. America’s pastime brings people together, and it is a privilege to serve as coach for the Republican team. Watch here.
Small Business Committee Hearing
This week, I led a Small Business Committee hearing examining how the federal government is tipping the scales against certain businesses online. It was brought to my Committee’s attention that the government has funded certain third-party organizations that are making it harder for conservative businesses to succeed online. As Chairman, I will always stand for Main Street and fight against unfair and burdensome rule-making. Watch my opening statement here.
Financial Services Committee
This week, the House Committee on Financial Services held a hearing to discuss ways to increase transparency on the Federal Reserve’s ‘stress testing’ scenarios that play a key role in enhancing the stability of the financial system. Stakeholders must be given the opportunity to identify flaws and suggest improvements to make these scenarios more useful and the outcomes more accurate. Watch my line of questioning here.
This week’s subcommittee hearing examined the role of the Export-Import Bank of the United States (U.S. EXIM) amid intensifying economic competition with China. Compared to other export credit agencies and international financial institutions, the U.S. EXIM bank tends to move slower when approving deals. The EXIM approval process can take over six months, and in some cases, over a year. However, other countries like China are approving deals more quickly, which allows them to undercut Western export credit agencies. Watch my line of questioning here.
In Case You Missed It!
I joined Newsmax to discuss the deadly consequences of Biden's border invasion. Biden inherited a secure border from President Trump, but since taking office has taken more than 60 actions to undermine national security. As a result, over 9.6 million illegal immigrants have entered our nation under this administration, and the American people are paying the price. Watch my full interview here.
