Samuel, to borrow a phrase from my friend Joe Biden: Friday
was a BFD.

When Paul Ryan decided to pull the bill, it was a rejection of the
Republican Party's effort to repeal the Affordable Care Act and a
repudiation of their plan that would have 24 million Americans
lose their health coverage.

And it was a testament to the power of your voice, Samuel.

I spent Friday morning in Detroit and Flint, making calls to
Washington with Michiganders who were passionate about saving
Obamacare. It was inspiring to watch grassroots Democrats in action.

Together, folks like you from across the country made thousands of
calls to your members of Congress, and more than 300,000 of you
signed on to petition Republicans to reject this disastrous bill.

Because you stepped up, we won a major victory in the fight to protect
the Affordable Care Act.

If there's one thing I've learned in my first month as Chair of the
Democratic Party, it's that nothing our party does is possible without the
folks like you in communities around the country who step up and fight for our Democratic
values in every way you can.
