In Wisconsin, Republicans in the state legislature -- and then the Supreme Court -- blocked extensions on absentee ballot deadlines and rejected mailing ballots out to eligible voters, drastically reducing turnout in the middle of a pandemic.

Texas AG Ken Paxton, a Republican, is almost certainly appealing a decision by a state judge that voters fearing for their health and safety qualify for Texas's incredibly restrictive excuses for voting by mail.

In Kentucky, far from making it easier to vote, the Republican House has just enacted a new voter ID law while DMVs are closed.

Republicans are doing everything they can to make it harder to vote, and Trump already told us why: if vote-by-mail was expanded, he said, "you'd never have a Republican elected in this country again."

Democrats like the ones in Texas who are pleading that the courts recognize vote-by-mail, or those in Wisconsin and Kentucky who are fighting for safe and fair elections, simply can't do it alone.
