John,
Feeling nervous about Election Day? Me too.
The good news is that it’s still more than four months away and there’s time to remind voters what’s on the line. So, instead of worrying, join me this week to take action.
This Tuesday, July 2nd at 7 pm ET, we’re hosting our next letter-writing party in conjunction with our partners at Vote Forward. We’ll be writing to infrequent voters in the swing states of Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin, reminding them of how critical this election is and urging them to turn out and vote for human needs.

Vote Forward has a proven track record of increasing voter registration and turnout.1 They’ve shown repeatedly that letters that volunteers like you write truly work.
Given the response to the recent presidential debate, many voters are considering simply staying home on Election Day. But we cannot let that happen because there is so much at stake and we cannot remain silent. We need to remind folks of how much is on the line.
Last week, the House of Representatives introduced funding bills that could take food, housing, and other key investments away from people with low incomes. Many people face food and housing insecurity, challenges with high child care costs, and other hardships that make it harder to make ends meet.
At the same time, states across the country have introduced and passed voter suppression laws, which disproportionately impact the most vulnerable communities—communities of color, people with disabilities, low-income communities, LGBTQ+ communities, and those living in rural areas. It’s up to us to make sure voters have the resources they need to make their voices heard. Click here to RSVP and join us for Tuesday’s next big letter-writing party.
If you can’t attend this Tuesday, please donate today to power our “Vote for Human Needs” campaign to reach voters in key swing states.
