Dear John,
Community Justice is hosting two important webinars alongside our partners, focusing on recent developments and effective strategies in our continued fight against gun violence. |
U.S. v. Rahimi Virtual Discussion |
🗓️: TOMORROW, July 1 ⏰: 4 PM EST
📍: Online |
Last week, the U.S. Supreme Court made a historic 8-1 ruling in U.S. v. Rahimi, prohibiting individuals subject to a protective order from possessing a firearm. This ruling reaffirms the rights of domestic violence survivors to live free from fear and harm, and is a MAJOR victory in our movement to end gun violence.
Join us with experts and advocates from Brady United Against Gun Violence and Texas Legal Aid for Survivors of Sexual Assault (LASSA) for a crucial discussion of the implications of the Rahimi decision for gun laws and domestic violence survivors both in Texas and nationwide. |
- Christina Delgado, our Southwest Regional Advocacy Associate
- Shira Feldman, Director of Constitutional Litigation at Brady
- Shelli Egger, Managing Director at LASSA
