Donald Trump has made it perfectly clear that he intends to flip Virginia in November, and he’s doing everything in his power to make that happen — including teaming up with Governor Glenn Youngkin. 

We know that Gov. Youngkin knows how to win in Virginia — we all watched him do it in 2021. So we can’t afford to stand by and watch as Trump harnesses Youngkin’s considerable political power in the state for his own benefit.

I’m running for re-election and I’m supporting President Joe Biden’s re-election because he and I have something in common — we believe in standing up for decency, for equality, for justice, and for one another. And I’m confident that Virginians believe in that, too. 

But this is the most consequential election of our lifetimes, and we need everyone off the sidelines if we’re going to deliver resounding victories for Democrats up and down the ballot, all across the Commonwealth and country.
