Since you’re one of my most important supporters, I wanted to send you a quick update about our re-election campaign.
If you missed my past few emails, here’s the bad news first: My opponent Karen Handel is claiming she is building momentum. She announced a new fundraising haul of hundreds of thousands of dollars, found out a GOP Super PAC is spending $3.2 million on attack ads against me, and released a poll showing her campaign up TWO POINTS on ours -- 49% to 47%.
But here’s the good news -- our grassroots team came through to bury this bad news with a HUGE response. 381 donors chipped in an incredible $4,389.75 (an average donation of $11.50) in the last 48 hours since the poll was released. That leaves us 119 donors and $2,610.25 short of our 72-hour flash goal.
With this grassroots army at my back, I’m confident we can make up this two-point gap and win re-election in November. John, will you be one of the 119 donors we need to close the gap and hit our 72-hour flash fundraising goal to get things back on track? Here’s the best link to contribute:
