Jack, the Supreme Court is on a tear. Now, the MAGA Justices have decided on a case that will impact the way this country is governed: They have basically anointed themselves kings of the United States.

On Friday June 28, the Stolen Court overturned decades of precedent that said courts should largely defer to federal agencies when it comes to interpreting and enforcing ambiguous laws written by Congress–effectively seizing those agencies’ power for themselves.

In dissent, Justice Elena Kagan wrote, “In one fell swoop, the majority today gives itself exclusive power over every open issue—no matter how expertise-driven or policy-laden—involving the meaning of regulatory law. As if it did not have enough on its plate, the majority turns itself into the country’s administrative czar.”

This is a big, big deal. We do not elect judges to run our country, yet the MAGA Justices have given them that power. This Supreme Court must be put in check now!

Here’s what WE do: We elect Democrats into Congress and hold them accountable for reforming the Court–including enacting ethics standards, gift-banning, and EXPANDING the Court. We must replace, override, or otherwise mute the extreme justices, including 3 placed by convicted felon Donald Trump, in order to re-establish true American democracy, reproductive freedom, and eliminate the power grab of these power-hungry “judges”.
