Team,
Tuesday was the 11-year anniversary of the Supreme Court’s disastrous decision in Shelby County, which nullified Section 5 of the Voting Rights Act, taking away key protections and making it easier for states to make voting harder — particularly for people of color.
Since that ruling, far-right fanatics have followed the Roberts Court’s lead, bringing case after case to try to further degrade voting rights and damage our democracy.
But this week isn’t just a chance to reflect, it’s a timely opportunity to fight back. All On The Line’s quarterly fundraising deadline is coming up in less than 36 hours. This anniversary is an important reminder that our democracy is fragile and we each need to do our part to strengthen it.
Your grassroots donation to All On The Line today will help do exactly that by helping us organize everywhere to respond to whatever comes next. Can we count on you to donate right away? → [link removed]

This important fundraising period for All On The Line comes as we close out another distressing term for the Supreme Court.
You know, it’s hard to believe that it was 50 years ago this month when I saw the Supreme Court building for the first time. I was interning for the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund and had to file a brief with the Court. I still remember what it was like to climb those marble steps and the awe I felt as I looked across the street at the Capitol. I’ve had a reverence for the judicial branch ever since.
But since then, I’ve seen that we can’t depend on the courts to secure our democracy. That work falls to us. And we can’t let up now.
So please, make a grassroots donation to All On The Line today ahead of our quarterly fundraising deadline so we can keep doing this important work together for years to come. Democracy is counting on you, and so am I. → [link removed]
