To paraphrase something I once said on the House floor: “If you love pollution, if you hate capitalism, if you hate competitive American businesses, vote for the GOP.”

One thing before I get into the weeds on this topic: If you’re against pollution and for a thriving economy, will you pitch in $15 towards my campaign + a more sustainable future? [[link removed]]

Allow me to give some context here.

The GOP – those self-proclaimed capitalism-lovin’ and socialism-hatin’ tough guys – use your tax dollars to prop up the declining fossil fuel industry and suppress clean-energy competitors.

They’re actively intervening in the free market so the fossil fuel industry can continue polluting, drilling, and spilling for generations to come.

That’s not “free-market” capitalism – it’s crony capitalism.
Crony capitalism is designed to benefit a very select group of people (especially if those people are big-time Republican donors) — everyone else be damned.

We don’t need self-interested hypocrites in charge while we face the greatest challenge in human history. We need leaders who understand the revolutionary idea that a livable planet is good for business!

Folks, I’m on a mission to find common-sense solutions to the climate crisis. I’m sure not going to find them on the other side of the aisle, so can I count on YOU to pitch in to my campaign before the FEC filing deadline tomorrow night? [[link removed]]
