Howdy, Friends.
On Sunday, a considerable portion of the Lorinser family will be at the Boyne City Tap Room for the area's largest political fundraiser of the year. We're joined by Team Slotkin for Senate and Jodi Decker for State House. If you're around, come out and meet my children and grandchildren.
Learn why this fight is so personal to me — it's about our freedoms, families, and futures.
Last week's High:
Peggy and I hosted five canvassers for a week, knocking on nearly a thousand doors daily. My "high" was treating them to a BBQ and then sitting by the backyard fire, reviewing the positive reports from the field and the voters' stories. It's so encouraging to hear the ratio of voters in our corner.
I'm truly honored and blessed to have this kind of support.
Low:
The countdown timer above is bugging me! As you know, I am a very outspoken proponent of campaign finance reform. But, with 40 days until the election, we can't afford to slow down. Because we don't rely on big money or corporate PACs, grassroots fundraising before our quarterly FEC deadline is crucial.
I'm beyond grateful for the support we've received. It means the world to me, and we must maintain the pace.
Ha:
The funniest moment was at the Beacon House fundraiser with Steve Mariucci and Tom Izzo. It was a Western theme, and seeing me in cowboy boots and a hat was rare. We had a blast and shared many laughs.
