th District, Amanda Makki, and Jeff Andrade, former SBA Associate Administrator for Office of Entrepreneurial Development.
Bio on Jeff Andrade:
During the 2008 Global Financial Crisis, Jeff managed $100 million in SBA programs that provide training and business counseling for over 2.4 million small business clients.
He currently is Senior Vice President for The McKeon Group, a Washington, DC area consulting and advocacy group, where he leads the practice in Federal economic and workforce development and education and works with several Florida-based universities and businesses. He was actively involved in advocating for Federal assistance to several sectors in the CARES Act, recently signed by President Trump.
Jeff combines over 30 years of political insights in Washington with real-world corporate experience helping businesses, colleges and other organizations navigate Washington's policy and financial issues. His career has been equally divided between government service and the private sector, nearly all of which has been in businesses that he has founded and others' small businesses.
In the public sector, he served for over 14 years as a career civil servant, Congressional staffer, and political appointee in the Executive Branch, including Deputy Assistant Secretary for Postsecondary Education at the U.S. Department of Education.He started as an entry-level policy analyst and worked his way up to a Senior Executive Service position managing programs providing over $101 billion in annual aid to students.
Jeff a bachelor’s degree with Honors from The American University in Washington, DC. He currently resides in Maryland with his wife, Catherine and son, Anthony, where he actively volunteers for local community, faith-based and political organizations.
