Earlier this week, when we kicked off our June FEC fundraising deadline drive here at Team Ilhan, we really weren't sure what kind of response to expect.
We'd set some very ambitious goals for the quarter, goals that we knew we could only reach with an incredible grassroots effort.
Honestly, we didn't know if we could hit them or not. Summer slowdowns, a weekend deadline… who could say?
But as of this morning— with just over 36 hours to go until we close the books — we have a chance.
It started with Stephanie in Minneapolis who chipped in $5 to one of our campaign's text messages. Then Muhamad in Illinois answered the same text with $25 of their own. Another $10 from Susan in North Branch to stand with Ilhan, and we were off to the races.
But we cannot slow down. Not now.
The truth is that right-wing super PACs and groups like AIPAC are watching campaigns like ours very closely, and it's going to take a LOT of resources to prepare for the attacks to come. So please:
