Dear John,
I’m seeing an alarming resurgence in attacks against houses of worship, pastors and rabbis and it’s impacting their ability to serve their communities.
Local bureaucrats are using whatever means necessary to keep ministries from fulfilling their most basic mission serving those in need.
In Bryan, Ohio, they’ve criminally charged Pastor Chris Avell for providing a safe place for the town’s most vulnerable to go 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. And with this summer’s temperatures on the rise, these people have nowhere else to escape the heat.
In San Luis, Arizona, they’re doing everything they can to force Pastor Jose Castro to end his food ministry that feeds the hungry in his community. For 25 years, people in the city have been heavily relying on these resources to stay afloat.
And in Boca Raton, Florida, the Loggers’ Run Homeowners Association is discriminating against Rabbi Hertzel and his Jewish community. Ever since the Hertzel's tried to build a synagogue for the orthodox Jewish community, they’ve lashed out in hateful ways and encouraged others to foster an antisemitic environment against them.
These types of cases light a fire under our attorneys. These people of faith are why we fight for what matters most.
Listen to First Liberty attorney Jeremy Dys share just how much these ministries mean to their communities and how your generosity makes their ministries possible:
Thank you for standing strong alongside these bold faith leaders. Your ongoing prayers and financial support are the reason why our legal team can keep fighting—and winning—for these shepherds.
As Jeremy said, we are standing proudly with these brave people of faith at absolutely no cost to them.
The pro-bono work of our volunteer attorney network ensures that these faith leaders are getting the best legal help, for free. Which means they can put every penny they have into making their ministries possible.
Because of your generosity, Pastor Avell can pay rent for his church facility and give shelter to people in need. Pastor Castro can give out food to the starving people in his community.
Most of the clients we serve could NOT afford to fight these legal battles alone and keep their ministries afloat.
Right now, I want to invite you to have an even greater impact on the ministries of Pastor Avell, Pastor Castro and Rabbi Hertzel with your donation.
Give before tomorrow at midnight and increase the impact of your gift thanks to our special $500,000 Challenge Grant.
You must take advantage of this gift multiplier before midnight tomorrow!
Yes, I will make my best gift for America’s faith leaders today >>
I’m counting on you John to rise up and defend these men of faith.
