Yesterday, Trump visited Virginia to rally his base for Republicans up and down the ticket — including my opponent — and took the opportunity to attack me on stage. There’s no doubt my opponent used that moment to his advantage — raking in money and mobilizing loads of the MAGA base behind his campaign.

Here’s the truth: if we don’t catch up to our FEC deadline goals today, we will be pummeled with attacks from our MAGA opponent and his allies.

This seat is a toss-up, John. We cannot afford to show an ounce of weakness when we report our fundraising numbers after our FEC deadline tomorrow night — especially after Trump made it abundantly clear that he’ll spare no opportunity to attack me.

So we need to catch up to our goals TODAY.
