Hi, John -
Right now, every American should have access to high-quality, affordable healthcare that covers expensive medical emergencies like the coronavirus, but unfortunately, that’s not the case for far too many.
This crisis, with the challenge of getting care for so many people, and the lack of early widespread testing or sufficient medical supplies for our doctors and nurses, makes it clear that our public health infrastructure is failing us. Sadly, our leader in the White House and his allies in Congress have allowed this to happen.
This crisis is only going to be solved if our leaders follow the science -- and this November, we have the chance to unseat a science-denying Republican.
When we win this race for NY-01, I’ll use facts and evidence to inform my policy decisions. I’ll work for the families of Long Island and advocate for solutions that will improve our lives.
More than ever before, we need leaders who listen to the experts and look to the data when making decisions that will impact the lives and livelihoods of their constituents.
There has never been a female Ph.D. scientist in Congress -- and I’d be the only chemist serving in the House. The data shows that when we communicate my background and my message with voters, we win.
But we can’t continue investing in our efforts to reach voters online and on the phones without your help. Today, I am asking you personally to give $25, $50, $100, $250, or any amount you can to help us continue the communication efforts we need to flip this seat from red to blue.
Thank you for your support,
Nancy
