As we all go through this difficult time we want to extend a warm “thank you!” for doing your part to end this pandemic by staying at home. Stephanie is right there with you as she continues to fight for her constituents from home.

We know that, for many of you, this is a time filled with uncertainty. As thousands of newly unemployed Floridians are unable to successfully file claims, Stephanie is calling for a federal investigation into Florida's unemployment assistance program to ensure everyone gets the support they need. The program’s failure to process claims during this crisis is unacceptable. As Stephanie continues to work hard for and support Floridians during the pandemic, we want to remind you that there are ways you too can continue to support your community and local businesses -- without risking your own or others’ health.

Some other things you can do to support area businesses during this time when many of them are struggling, include:

• Buy gift cards from your favorite local restaurant or boutique to use later.
• Shop from local stores online.
• Consider making a donation to a local business.

Friends, the most important thing you can do right now is to take care of yourself and your family. So make an effort to support local businesses only if it fits into your budget and you feel comfortable doing so. And remember: together we will make it through this challenging time!
