In his time as a Member of Parliament, he’s voted against same-sex marriage, told Indigenous Peoples they needed to learn the value of hard work more than they needed compensation for residential schools, made it harder for half a million Canadians to vote through the Fair Elections Act, fought against workers to make it harder for them to unionize, said he’d be willing to use the notwithstanding clause to override your Charter rights, and voted to reopen the abortion debate, to name a few.
