As the 152nd General Assembly wraps up, all eyes are on Legislative Hall! Our legislators are hard at work turning Democratic platform priorities into concrete policy ahead of the end of the legislative session on June 30th.

Thanks to grassroots support from folks like you, we are in a position to secure some remarkable victories in the final days of session. Here’s just some of what Democratic legislators have been working on:

🏠 Housing Status Discrimination: We are on our way to protecting those experiencing homelessness from discrimination in housing and employment, ensuring everyone has equal opportunities regardless of their housing status.

⚖️ Death Penalty Repeal: The General Assembly repeal of the death penalty, affirming our commitment to human rights and justice.

🏥 Insurance Coverage for Abortion: In another step towards safeguarding choice in Delaware, this legislation will require insurance programs to cover the cost of abortion services, addressing a key barrier to abortion access for low-income women. 

📚 Education Enhancements: We're making strides in student wellness, including increasing mental health support in schools and expanding access to free meals for students.

The output of the current legislature underscores the importance of continuing the fight for our shared Democratic values. Without strong majorities, much of this incredible work wouldn’t be possible. As we look towards the upcoming election, the stakes couldn't be higher.
