We’re going to elect each and every one of these folks together.

John,

Yesterday, we announced 13 of Sister District’s newly-endorsed candidates – and with the support of this incredible grassroots team, we’re going to elect each and every one of these folks together.

Want to learn more about these exciting candidates in pivotal races across the country? Here’s a quick rundown of our 13 new candidates – and why their races matter so much:

Arizona

Arizona is going to be absolutely crucial in this election cycle. We just endorsed Rep. Lorena Austin, Karen Gresham, and Nicholas Gonzales, because each of these three races are must-wins for Democrats to flip the Arizona House for the first time since 1966!

Georgia

In Georgia, we’ve endorsed two incumbent Democratic state representatives who are facing steep challenges from the GOP this year. We need to mobilize to reelect Rep. Jasmine Clark and Rep. Michelle Au, to keep up the fight for reproductive rights.

North Carolina

We are determined to break the far-right Republican supermajority in the North Carolina Legislature. Sister District just endorsed two Democrats in pivotal races: Woodson Bradley, running for State Senate, and Dante Pittman, running for State House. We know these candidates can defeat the GOP and get the job done!

Michigan

In Michigan, we’ve added two important endorsements to our list: Rep. Jaime Churches, a public school teacher who won her last election by only 660 votes, and Shadia Martini, a Democratic challenger who narrowly lost in 2022 and is back for a rematch in 2024. With only a small two-seat majority, Michigan Democrats need all hands on deck to protect their caucus – and grow their numbers – in the state legislature this year.

Pennsylvania

We have one new endorsement in Pennsylvania: Rep. Mandy Steele, an inspiring advocate for action on climate change. The Republicans are targeting her for defeat, so she needs our grassroots support to secure her reelection this November.

Wisconsin

Last but not least, we have three new candidates we’re supporting in Wisconsin. We’re proud to endorse Assemblywoman Lee Snodgrass, a passionate advocate for schools and the LGBTQ+ community, who must keep her seat if Democrats are going to flip the Assembly this year. On the Senate side, we’re supporting two challengers: Kristin Alfheim and Jodi Habush Sinykin. Our candidates can break the GOP supermajority in this election and put Democrats on a path to taking back control of the Senate in 2026.
