The COVID-19 pandemic is an unprecedented crisis that is a combination of a public health, economic, social and political failure. It has exposed the deep inequality of our society and the fragility of the systems on which we rely.

Check up on your neighbors: So many of us have been connecting with family, friends, and neighbors in our own communities, joining mutual aid networks, or checking in with those who are the most vulnerable in this crisis. WFP’s volunteer Text4Resistance team, so instrumental in getting out the vote, is now also reaching out to our neighbors to ensure that our communities are accounted for and taken care of.
