Dear John, Today we received the devastating news that the Texas Supreme Court reversed a lower court ruling blocking enforcement of Senate Bill 14, permitting the anti-transgender law to remain in effect, concluding that the law is constitutional. You can read more about today’s outcome in a press release shared moments ago by our legal team, as well as in our FAQ about the Loe v Texas case. This is not the outcome any of us wanted, and we know that our families in Texas are angry, frustrated, afraid, sad and more. We share their heartache and rage. We will never back down from supporting transgender and nonbinary youth and their families in every state across the country, no matter what. We will keep leading with love, speaking the truth, and getting out the message that EVERYONE of every gender deserves access to the healthcare they need, when they need it. And that everyone—including our trans loved ones—deserves to be safe, celebrated, empowered and loved. We are here. We are not going anywhere. We will get through this together. Because our love is louder. As I shared, this is not the outcome we wanted, but we will never back down from supporting our families. In community, |
