IDNYC Comes to District 39
Calling all New York City and District 39 residents: I am excited to host the IDNYC van at my District Office located at 197 Bond Street, Brooklyn, NY 11217 on Tuesday, July 2nd from 10 AM to 4:30 PM. IDNYC is the New York City municipal identification card program that provides a form of ID allowing community members to access city services and programs. The card can be used to take the high school equivalency exam in NYC, enter public buildings like schools, as a library card in Brooklyn, New York, and Queens, and more! All New York City Residents 14 years and older who reside in NYC are eligible for the ID, regardless of immigration status.
If you or anyone you know is interested in getting or renewing an IDNYC Card, you must make an appointment and bring all the necessary verification documents to process your application. Appointments will take around 20 minutes and the card will be mailed to you after the event. We will also have Chinese, Spanish, Bangla, Arabic, and French language interpretation on site. You can make an appointment and view the required documents at this link.
Do you have Fresh Direct Bags? We need them!
Our office is proud to support the Gowanus Mutual Aid Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program, a food access program distributing over 300 bags of regional fruits and veggies every other week to local public housing residents. This incredible work requires lots of dedicated volunteers and – you guessed it – Fresh Direct bags!
If you have extra Fresh Direct bags you would like to donate please bring them to our District Office at 197 Bond Street, Brooklyn, NY 11217 between 10 AM and 4 PM from Monday - Thursday. If you would like to get involved with the distributions, your help is welcome and you can sign up here.
Sincerely,
Shahana
