** Volunteers Needed: Habitat Restoration Project on July 13 at Occoquan Bay NWR

Where: Occoquan Bay NWR, 14050 Dawson Beach RoadWoodbridge, VA, 22191
On Saturday, July 13, help us remove invasive mile-a-minute from a meadow in the refuge. Our birds depend on eating insects that grow on our native plants. Invasive removal gives room for native species and the insects to thrive! Help us help birds by tackling this plant invader to the Refuge. We will partner with Refuge staff, Audubon volunteers and neighbors. Bring a friend! This plant requires gloves, please bring a pair of sturdy gardening gloves and wear long pants.
